When media giant Gannett decided to spin off its publishing arm into a new company, it meant that the board chairman and nominating & governance committee would be tasked with creating two new boards and deciding which directors and skill sets would best match each company. In this episode, Host TK Kerstetter asks Gannett board member Susan Ness about the board’s key objectives for the creation of two new boards. Ness explains the board’s decision-making process, and how they used the opportunity create a board with 50% female representation.
